Last March, I worked as a publicist for the Vail Film Festival 2011 with MMPR in Vail, Colorado.
In the weeks leading up to the festival I pitched/invited media and spoke to the filmmakers to understand their stories so I could be the connector during the festival weekend.
In the eye of the festival storm, I spoke to artists, directors, musicians and creators… asked lots of questions to uncover passions and stories and interesting ideas, then connected those people with the writers and photographers most interested in telling the stories.
Projects like VFF are the perfect mix of journalistic digging, spotting trends and unique perspectives, and flitting around like a social butterfly to inspire great conversations between people.

March 29-April 1, 2012: Year two back in Vail this year as the Production Assistant/Publicist helping PMK-BNC PR.

Last night at the opening party my task was to hawk-eye and circle the room for certain photographers, celebrities/musicians, and festival directors to arrange everyone in front of the sponsor step and repeat for the mooonneey shot.
This isn’t it. But, it was my view most of the night. This is fun.
