Impression Museum

This is a collection of the important people, experiences, places and ideas that - over time - have made me a Jess.

Since leaving my salaried job nine months ago, I have fully inked 5 moleskin notebooks trying think myself into the perfect career path.

In that ‘free time’ I started a marketing consultancy, toured Stanford University’s collaboration institute, entertained a month of whims through Europe, worked as production assistant to COMMON Pitch and have had so many coffee meetings with entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, a billionaire, corporate lawyers, friends……

Today, months of relentless curiosity and observation has tsunamied into the greatest understanding of satisfaction I have felt in a long time.

I left a meeting at Dojo4 feeling light and seriously fulfilled. I have seen that there are workspaces where all the elements of my perfect work environment actually exist:

Enthusiasm for creating social and environmental good, great design, wise and experienced mentors, charming cottage-office in a prime location, laid back but productive and efficient meetings…It just felt so right.

This upcoming shared workspace for social good: HUB Boulder

Friends and ‘The hottest start-up of the last few years’: The Unreasonable Institute

This idea and my favorite word combination yet: Collaboratory

I believe we are influenced by our surroundings and that we curate and choose the ideas, people and things we absorb and adopt and I am sincerely proud of the people I met today.
